WHEATON - The ‘Run for the STARS 5K’ race will be held in Wheaton on Saturday, June 10th, 2017. Now in its fourteenth year, 'Run For the STARS' is one of the larger Chicago area 5k races based on number of runners. The race features electronic timing, a short-sleeve technical shirt for participants, custom medals for all who place, and awards for the top three finishers in each age group. Don’t miss your chance to participate in this fun, family-friendly event. Walkers are welcome!
The start and finish line of the 5k is across from historic Wheaton College and College Church. The 'Run For The STARS' takes you through a beautiful, tree-lined neighborhood around the College on a fast certified course. Water stations, race marshals and plenty of other volunteers will help make it a safe and enjoyable race.
Race proceeds benefit the disabled by providing camp scholarships, recreational camps, and job coaching.
