The Scream! Half Marathon is a unique, downhill half marathon located in the rural mountains of Western North Carolina. Starting in Jonas Ridge, North Carolina, the course drops over 2,000 vertical feet to the finish line in the ghost town of Mortimer, North Carolina. The field is limited to 300 participants by the US Forest Service and sells out quickly each year.
